Dr. Rainaldi is a licensed psychologist in private practice in the Tampa Bay Area. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Penn State University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Fielding Graduate Institute. She graduated from Penn State with high honors, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and received the Eastern Colleges Science Award for her research on the brain. She also received the Frieda Fromm-Reichman Award for her doctoral dissertation on women and sexuality from the Alonso Center for Psychodynamic Studies. She has been practicing psychotherapy in the Tampa Bay area for the past ten years and, before starting her private practice, worked in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings with adults, adolescents, and children.

 

During specialized training, Dr. Rainaldi developed skill in working with developmental problems that create recurring relationship challenges in life. She worked with young and middle aged adults experiencing life transitions at the Center for Counseling and Development  and Employee Assistance Program at the University of South Florida, at the University of MissouriCounseling Center, and within the Student Affairs Department of the University of Delaware.

 

Dr. Rainaldi received intensive training in long-term depth treatment of developmental issues in adults and children, including children four years of age and younger, at the Carter-Jenkins Center which specializes in psychoanalytic treatment and training. Dr. Rainaldi has also worked locally in the intervention and treatment of acute and chronic mental illness at PEMHS and Windmoor Hospitals in Pinellas County.

 

Dr. Rainaldi is a member Tampa Bay Psychoanalytic Society where she serves as an officer and is currently in advanced post-graduate training in psychoanalysis in the Tampa Bay Institute for Psychoanalytic Studies.
